Mandy Fischer (she/her), Director of Programs

Mandy has been part of the Intervale Center since 2006 and served as Development Director for 12 years before becoming Program Director in 2023. She oversees the Center's diverse programs; contributes to fund development with a focus on government grants and contracts and large gifts; leads strategic organizational and programmatic development; and works with partners to leverage resources for BIPOC-led organizations and projects. She is committed to returning extracted, stolen wealth to rural and systemically oppressed communities, and she finds joy in managing the Center's brilliant, goofy, and hardworking staff. In addition to supporting her coworkers, Mandy loves dancing, baking, getting to know wild plants, a crisp glass of wine, beaches, live music, and dystopian novels. She lives in Burlington with her loving partner and awesome daughter.
