Conservation Nursery Planting Crew

The Conservation Nursery Planting Crew supports the Intervale Center’s conservation mission by assisting in tree planting on reforestation projects across Vermont. This temporary position lasts for three weeks and involves physically demanding, team-oriented work outdoors in all weather conditions. Due to the time-sensitive nature of this position, punctuality and attendance are essential. Candidates must be strong team players with good communication skills, self-initiative, and the ability to adapt to various tasks. This position is full time from April 14th - May 9th

Conservation Nursery Crew

The Conservation Nursery Crew supports the Intervale Center’s conservation efforts through hands-on work, assisting in tree harvest, planting, maintenance in the production fields, invasive species removal, and stewardship projects. This team-oriented role requires a high level of social interaction, adaptability, and attention to detail. Candidates must have strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and independent decision-making capabilities while remaining adaptable to changing situations. This position is based outdoors in all weather conditions. Due to the time-sensitive nature of this work, punctuality and attendance are crucial for this position. This position is full time from March 17th - November 21st.

INTERNSHIPS

Food Access Intern

The Intervale Center seeks a Food Access Intern to join the Food Hub team. This position is seasonal and part time. The Food Access Intern will support the distribution of gleaned produce during Fair Share, farming in our volunteer-powered growing space called the People’s Farm, and support weekly gleaning efforts on farm fields throughout the county. The intern will also write a weekly newsletter circulated to 400+ Fair Share members highlighting farms, storage tips, and weekly recipes and help collect feedback from program participants throughout the season.
