Intervale Conservation Nursery Intern

Status: Seasonal, part-time (financial stipend available)  

Position Length: June 1st - August 31st  

Position Hours: 15hrs/week, approximately 150hrs over the course of the internship. See detailed schedule below. 

Internship Overview:  

This Internship offers a mix of physical, outdoor work and insight into Vermont’s statewide efforts to protect and restore rivers and wildlife habitat. The Intervale Conservation Nursery Intern will support seasonal operations at the Intervale Conservation Nursery. The intern will assist in nursery production tasks such as propagating, weeding, irrigating, and potting up trees; participate in stewardship work including invasive species removal and site maintenance; and help with other nursery-related tasks at the Intervale. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with native plant propagation, ecological restoration, and the operations of a working native plant nursery.
