Katharine Montstream

Katharine Montstream grew up in Wethersfield, Connecticut near the river and spent much time exploring the low lying farmland known as The Meadows. After getting her degree in Sociology from CU Boulder, she couldn't wait to move to Vermont. Landing in Burlington, it didn't take her long to discover the Intervale and feel right at home. Kath is a landscape painter and can be found in her "coloring room" at the Soda Plant on Pine Street or at her downtown gallery, Montstream Studio. Her husband, Al, keeps the gallery running, and they have three grown children all living in Burlington. When not painting, you can find her skiing, playing soccer, or jumping in the lake year round. Kath is returning to the board after two terms and is happy to serve again with this amazing board, Intervale staff and farmers.
