Take a slow stroll through the Intervale to identify common medicinal herbs growing in the gardens, meadows and probably your own backyard! We will discuss plant identification, ethical harvesting practices, and touch on some ways to use plant medicine.
Sophie Cassel is a clinical and community herbalist, dedicating her work to connecting plants and people through education, immersion, and client-centered care. She sees clients through her practice, Patchwork Plant Medicine, and is a member of the herbal mutual aid group Rose Core Collective. She lives along the Winooski river with many plant neighbors.
This workshop will involve a slow-paced walk through the edges and paths of the Intervale, so water, comfortable clothes and shoes are recommended. Participants should meet at the Intervale Center: 180 Intervale Road.
