Join Aaron Marcus, assistant botanist with VT Fish & Wildlife Department, for a Plant Walk on Thursday, September 8th 5-7pm at the Intervale Center in Burlington.
Participants will meet at the Intervale Center main parking lot. The walk will be an easy pace on a flat and wheelchair accessible trail.
Floodplains are valuable places to humans as well as to so many other creatures. While the Intervale feeds us with nutritional food, on this walk we'll be looking at an astounding diversity of wild plants that also make a home there, from stately old hackberry trees to a rare arrowhead species known from nowhere else in the state, to globally rare plants.
Thanks to our season underwriters, City Market and Gardener’s Supply Company, for making events like these possible!
