Start a new tradition...with a CSA from New Tradition Farm!

Have you signed up for a summer CSA yet?

Consider making it a new tradition this season…with a weekly salad subscription from New Tradition Farm!

Meet your farmer!

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) shares are a delicious way to keep your kitchen stocked through the summer, support your local farm, and connect with farmers like Stoni Tomson.

“I love to have a direct relationship with our customers, which is why we are focused on growing our CSA this season,” says Stoni, who began New Tradition last year with the help of the Intervale Center’s farm business services

True salad connoisseurs know that there’s a calculated formula for salad preparation, and New Traditions includes a weekly stock of all the necessary ingredients in their CSA: a strong base (lettuce mix), leaves (baby greens), just the right amount of cronch (microgreens like pea and sunflower shoots), some color (veggies like carrots and tomatoes), a certain je ne sais quoi (fresh herbs) and a whole lot of love.

Stoni describes New Tradition as a hand-scale farm operation and is dedicated to creating abundance without the use of pesticides or heavy reliance on petroleum. The farm grows on ½ acre using just hand tools.

“I’m passionate about using my bean-powered body to farm!”

The CSA runs from June through October, and pickup is available at the following sites in Burlington, Williston, and Richmond:

Burlington: 241 N Winooski Ave, (McClure Multigenerational Center) on Thursdays 4:30-7 pm.

Williston: 306 Wildflower Circle, on Thursdays 4-7 pm.

Richmond: Richmond Community Kitchen, aka the Blue Seal building, on Fridays 3-7pm.
