Supporting farmers across Vermont

At the Intervale Center we are committed to supporting and strengthening Vermont's food system in a way that balances the needs of people and planet.

For two decades, our Farm Business Planning team has worked closely with the Farm and Forest Viability Program to deliver farm business education across Vermont. Over the years, our team has supported hundreds of farm and food businesses to grow and thrive through one-on-one business planning and coaching, financial planning, land access services, succession planning, and other technical assistance.

In 2023 alone, our team has worked with 113 farms across Vermont, including 34 new or beginning farmers and 35 farmers that are working on long term land tenure through either the leasing or purchasing of land.

Farmland access, climate change, and labor shortages are just a few of the obstacles facing Vermont producers today. Help us continue to support farmers in the face of these challenges and lead the way for climate resilient agriculture and ecosystems in Vermont, we can't do it without you!
