Press Release: Vermont Land Link Relaunches with New Branding and Expanded Focus

BURLINGTON, VT — The Intervale Center has relaunched Vermont Land Link (VLL), with a completely redesigned website to better serve Vermont's agricultural community.  As part of the relaunch, VLL has widened its farmland focus to include grazing and forest opportunities to better represent Vermont’s stewardship and conservation goals. The free service can help anyone from commercial farmers to forest producers to livestock grazers find land in Vermont.

As a platform of the Intervale Center, VLL directly connects users to the Intervale Center’s Farm Business Services team that can help to make landowner—farmer matches successful.

The website redesign, which delivers a more intuitive and trustworthy platform for users, was completed by Tamarack Media. This important update was made possible through funding from Vermont Working Lands Enterprise Initiative, as well as support and partnership from the New England Farm Link Collaborative.

Land seekers and landowners are encouraged to create detailed profiles and listings that showcase the unique potential of their properties or specific land-use vision. “We've added improved functionality and features to make communication between VLL members easier and more responsive, listings more informative, and search options more effective. VLL is still a user-driven website, but our goal is to promote transparency and instill quality in published content. We're rebuilding the VLL community. Creating a trusted space to make connections ultimately accelerates farmland access with the potential to do so more equitably,” said Nikki Lennart, Farm Business Services Specialist at the Intervale Center.
