Farms, Land, People: Stories of the Intervale
Farms, Land, People: Stories of the Intervale
In honor of our 30th Anniversary, we are excited to announce that on Wednesday April 4th, we will be hosting “Farms, Land, People: Stories of the Intervale".
The evening will feature a selection of local storytellers with a connection to the Intervale, and we would like to invite you to participate!
For 30 years, the Intervale Center has been sharing stories. Stories of the land, stories of farmers, stories of renewal, and stories of hope. Now, we want to hear your stories. For the 30th anniversary of the Intervale Center, we are inviting the friends who make our work possible to share their personal Intervale stories. We are looking for stories that are funny, quirky, sad, inspiring and everything in-between. Tell us about your connection to this magical place!
SUBMITTING YOUR STORY:
Submit the story you intend to tell, in writing or as a digital recording:
- Written stories should be no more than 1,000 words or 4 pages, double- spaced.
- Recorded stories should be no longer then 6 minutes.
- Submit to chelsea@intervale.org
The deadline for submitting your story is March 14th
Stories will be reviewed and the selected storytellers will be notified by March 17th.
If your story is selected, you will be invited (and expected) to participate a second workshop with Susanne Schmidt on March 21st, 2018 at 6:30 pm. This workshop will be limited to the selected storytellers, and will focus on shaping and preparing your story, and coming together with the other storytellers.
